Orchiana is a rogue planetoid about the size of Earth's moon which likely was ejected from its orbit in the Vega system some 100 million years ago, most likely when one of the planetary bodies exploded and shifted the orbits of all bodies in the system.

The current path of Orchiana is erratic but is stays usually within a 50-60 lightyear zone near Vega.

The planetoid has a single structure, being an environmental dome and single landing pad leftover from mining operations there some 20 years ago. Orion Dentron is the current owner and operator of the mine, though it is very likely that any valuable materials there are either too deep to go after efficiently relative to the cost of mining them or depleted entirely.

The planetoid is tracked by a navigational beacon in the Vega system designated Vega-P149 which monitors the exact course and location of the planetoid at all times and transmits that information to passing ships.
