Ando Matsuo is a smuggler dealing in exotic goods of all kinds. From people, to pets, to the kinds of substances and items that get a person put on the terrorist watch lists in almost any sector. He has many warrants out for his arrest. His ship, the Anari (RTV-2259-X1), is well known throughout most cultures in known space (and likely some that are as yet unknown to the major powers) as being trouble when it comes calling.

History
Ando has no memory of his distant past. He remembers being a teenager in the shady areas of Saturn's moon, Titan in the Sol System. The farthest thing he remembers is being hungry as a teenage boy of around 15 or so. They were rough years, more rough than should have been possible in the heart of the United Federation of Planets. Unfortunately even in the brightest light there are still shadows that hide dark things. He rarely speaks of these times, being what he was, he feared the authorities who spoke often in the news and other media about tolerance but he had no desire to test the theory. Word on the street was that there were a handful like him that were hunted down and captured for unknown reason. He didn't want to find out why.
