The Adara System is a binary star system, the brightest system in the Adara Sector when seen from it's nearest neighbor the Svyo Star System. The primary star (Adara Alpha) is an F1V Yellow-White main sequence star with a radius of 8.98 x 105 km (1.29 times Sol) and a mass of 3.03 x 1030 km (1.66 times Sol) and a temperature of 7300 K. Alpha has a luminosity of 1.63 x 1027 W (4.26 times Sol) and has a close companion star, Adara Beta. Beta is a G8V Yellow main sequence star with an orbital distance of 8.06 x 107 km (0.54 AU), a radius of 6.06 x 105 km (0.95 of Sol), mass of 1.40 x 1030 (0.70 of Sol), and a luminosity of 2.09 x 1026 W (0.55 of Sol).

This is a green but cool world, 98% of the surface area is water and 57% of that is ice. It has a thin and toxic atmosphere, dominated by high velocity winds. While the atmosphere is mostly oxygen-nitrogen with 1500 ppm chlorine gas making it incapable of supporting most life forms. Prokaryotic microbes do exist in the water of this planet below the large sheets of ice. Heavy volcanic activity contribute to the deadly atmosphere but also keep the water warm enough for simple single / multi-cellular life. If not for the surface water, this would be a Class K planet. There is also evidence that the surface regularly is bombarded by asteroids.
Asteroid Belt
A dense belt of asteroids exists beyond the lone planet in the system, 4.81 AU from Adara Alpha, likely the remnant of a planetary collision early in the systems life.
