The central star, Capetian, is a Type GIV subgiant. It is about 14 solar masses in size radiating significantly more energy than Earth's star, Sol. The star system has not been officially explored, though it has been charted by long range probes and sensor readings. There are 12 planets, only 1 of which is Class M. The star is on the outer rim of known space between the Beta and Delta quadrants. The star sits within a relative stellar void, that is to say the density of stars within its particular sector is unusually low.

Officially no government has claimed the system or the region of space it is in, though it is close enough to both Romulan and Federation space so that either power could have a potential claim on the system. There are no trade, shipping, or mining routes that take ships near the system due to its location.

Capetian Prime

The first planet in the system is a very small Type-A world, about the twice the size of Earth's moon Luna. Tidal forces with Capetian deform the planet and continually cause tectonic stress. The planet has an unusually dense core of unknown material, though likely molten lead-silver alloy (tin) in some kind of super-compressed state. Given the magnetic characteristics and other readings it is probable that several more exotic heavy radioactive metals are also present in the core.

Asteroid Belt

An extremely large asteroid belt between the 1st and 2nd planets, likely remnants of other plants which collided. The composition is standard nickel, iron, lead, silver, and other metals are present in modest quantities. The belt itself is still very close to the star. Close enough to make mining difficult and costly.

Capertian 2, 3, and 4

All three worlds are Class B with large amounts of Iron and Silicone. The orbital paths of these 3 worlds are also very close together, though usually they do not come near each other, there is a certain amount of wobble to the orbital paths over time. Once every 3-4 years the tidal forces on any given world in the trio can cause extensive tectonic stress.

Capertian 5

This is a Class C world with a far more stable orbit. Sitting right on the edge of the system's habitable zone the world is about twice the size of Earth and its gravity protects Antoinette from strays coming out of the massive asteroid belt. The surface shows a very high density of impact craters. Composed of Anthracite and Basalt as well as Nickel, Iron, and Lead at the core there is an incredibly strong magnetic field.

Capertian 6 (Antoinette)

This is the only Class M world, it is about half the size of Earth and has a very short year but very slow days. It has 3 distinct moons, though it's primary moon is named Louis that is likely a leftover from the planets formation since it shares a similar composition. The other two moons are likely captures of asteroids or comets, named Auguste and Charles. The planet has average vegetation and animal life for a planet of its size and atmosphere.

The atmosphere is a bit richer in Oxygen content than mos Class M worlds and contains normal trace elements, though slightly more Argon and Neon than most. Temperatures globally are well within the habitable zone and most of the planets climate is temperate or tropical. The planetary tilt is rather high, 29.7 degrees which gives it somewhat more intense seasons.

There are a number of unaffiliated homesteaders on the planet who form a naturalistic collective mostly to fill their own needs. They do send a number of dated transport ships to other worlds for trade, usually once every 5 or so years. Mostly for manufactured goods or materials they cannot produce themselves. They are a low level of technological reliance, though they do possess modern power generation of fusion reactors and small replicators. The colony has a central subspace array and a Jump Gate in orbit, though they do not operate the Jump Gate the operators do allow the colony to use it freely.

There is a Class 2 Space Station in Zenith configuration near the Jump Gate, placed and maintained by 7 Years Enterprises a private contracting firm which manages properties that it leases out to other interests. The actual administrators of the station are unknown. The station is simply named Embers Hold, they refer to the gate as Embers Gate though the colony on the planet simply refers to it as "the gate" or "the station". The station does some trade with the colony but largely they do not communicate and keep a professional distance. Colonists do not entirely trust the inhabitants of the station have no definite reasons not to.

Capertian 7 and 8

Both of these worlds are Class P. While the 7th planet has a lush hearty ecosystem at the equator, most of the world is cold and barren with temperatures dropping far below the habitable range. While the 8th planet has no vegetation at all. Both have very thick atmospheres mostly composed of oxygen, argon, and nitrogen. Due to the surface temperature changes both worlds experience intense ice storms. Both worlds share very similar orbits, so much so that they travel nearly together throughout their year with only minor changes at perigee and apogee where one gets "ahead" of the other.

Capertian 9

This planet is the most massive world in the system, it is a Class S Gas Supergiant. The atmosphere is almost entirely helium at the upper levels with metallic hydrogen at the core with trace amounts of radioactive materials. The gravitational pull of the world is intense as is the magnetic field. This world has a very robust ring system about twice the size of Saturn's rings. It also has about a dozen smaller objects of asteroid size which are caught in its orbital sphere.

Capertian 10 and 11

These two planets are Class I, ice giants. Thair atmosphere is composed of ice, methane, and ammonia. Both worlds have strong elliptical orbits due to the 9th planet exerting gravitational forces when either world gets too close.

Capertian 12

The final world in the system is a Class R or Rogue planet. Composition-wise it is similar to a Class M with a Nickel-Iron core and evidence of having once had a breathable atmosphere composed of Nitrogen, Argon, Oxygen, and Carbon Dioxide. The surface temperature, however, is far below the habitable zone. Long range scans indicate that this world does not conform to the composition of other worlds in the system and may have been captured by the stars gravity and entered into a semi-stable orbit. The orbital path is extremely elliptical, likely still owing to the massive gravitational forces of the 9th planet, when the two pass near each other tidal forces exert tectonic pressure which likely keeps the molten core alive.
