Javi is a fairly calm person, and is very dependable. Although sometimes he may lose his cool, he is pretty mature. He does often come off as cold when you first meet him, but this is mainly because of how insecure Javier can be (I’ve known him for most of my life. I’d know). Although, if you were to insult him, a friend, or try to cause some sort of conflict, he will speak up, and won’t be afraid to fight back.
The speedsters of the Nighcros universe. Just like a Lyros, they have an enhanced part of them. Unlike a Lyros though, their attributes lay in their speed. But they also lack in strength, leaving their attacks to need to be in rapid succession to deal a reasonable amount of damage. They are very fast, and the fastest Lynx of them all was a man could reach the speed of sound. This man could reach the same speed of a blue angel... This man is not Javier Minard, but was the in the same bloodline of the prestigious line of Lynx’s as him. This man was his great grandfather. An extra fact about Lynx’s is that they have claws.
Several parts of his body have been modified via technology, and his eyes are not excluded. His eyes can show the basic traits of somebody. These traits their height, approximate weight, BMI, and any other appearance traits. He can only see the outwards traits, and cannot see anything such as powers or skills, or something you can’t see with the naked eye. Another trait of this eye enhancement is a holographic screen. This can also play music, and play videos.

Nail Polish Colors / Abilities
- Elemental Nail Polish
- Javi has...a weird weapon to say the least. Javi has his own line of nail polish that he infuses with these elemental materials to give him mastery over elements such as wind, fire, ice, lightning, and ect. These each have their own color, of course. Each element is one coat, and has 18 uses before they wear off. The polish can also be stacked to increase the uses, and can also be used to mix in different elements. The elemental polish dries within 10 seconds. There is also a top coat that will amplify the effects of the main polish by 3 and increase the durability of the polish, but this will take 6 minutes to dry. These can be used in several different ways, such as adding an effect to his punches, or weapons, can be used as claws, or can be used to send a wave of elemental energy towards the opponent. He has used these weapons so much, that he can apply them mid-battle with ease.
- Inferno Red
- This nail polish harnesses the power of fire and when in use, can cause burning damage to the enemy. This is a lasting effect that will stay for 2 seconds after the initial hit.
l Hurricane Green: This nail polish harnesses the power of wind and when in use, sends a large gust of air towards the opponent to push them back several meters or yards. Unlike some of the other polishes, this one is much more versatile, and if applied to the feet, can be used to speed the user up for several minutes.
- Frostbite Cyan
- This nail polish harnesses the power of frost and when in use, will cause the opponent to slowly lose body heat through every hit. This will also cause the opponent to have a slightly harder time moving for 10 seconds after the initial hit. If applied to the feet, the ground under him will begin to freeze up. If he his over water, he would theoretically be able to ‘walk’ on water.
- Electric yellow
- This nail polish harnesses the power of electricity, and when in use, will cause the opponent to suffer from an extremely low level of shock, starting from the feeling of static electricity. This feeling however, can be changed depending on how long the user keeps contact onto the enemy, or if the opponent is hit several times in rapid succession. This can increase up to the feeling of a taser.
- Deep Ocean Blue
- This nail polish harnesses the power of water, and when in use, a wave of water is launched. This is a passive move
- Shining White
- The nail polish harnesses the power of light, and when in use,it summons a wave of light that surges forth,illuminating the way for 10 seconds. This is a passive move.
- Edgy Black
- The nail polish harnesses the power of darkness, (Yes, it sounds very edgy) and when in use, it summons a wave of energy that dims the area for 10 seconds. This is a passive move.
- Top Coat-Color Amplifier
- This top coat uses a clear elemental material that has the power to amplify the elements power by 3 times more than what it was. It does take a long time to dry though, since it’s thicker.
Weapons
- Elemental Rapier
- This Rapier is his own custom made weapon, and uses the same elemental resource that his nail polish uses to harness elements, but this includes a few new powers, such as creating small, temporary platforms and manifesting speed glyphs, one type of speed glyph being a launchpad glyph. All the elements used with the sword are also amplified compared to when they are on his nails.(Weirdly enough, he doesn’t carry his weapon on him all the time. He says it’s too heavy to be carrying around all the time. He rarely carries it with him)
Background as told by Taros
Javier wasn’t always this distant, and actually used to be quite outgoing when he was much younger. But as his life went on, more pressures stacked onto him, including the need to appease his prestigious family, to meet his great grandfather’s skills, to keep a good appearance in the public, and to not tarnish his family name. The breaking point of all this had happened when his great grandfather had passed away. He had been killed in an alleyway, downtown. After this, Javier became cold, and unapproachable, yet still not in the way he is today. This type of cold came from his hatred towards everything around him. His great grandfather was the person that was closest to him. Even though he was harsh on Javier when it came to not meeting expectations, he was also the only one who made an attempt to get closer to Javier, and was there if he was ever having a hard time. His family expected him to do everything himself, except his great grandfather. When he died, he was more than brokenhearted. He was, well...broken.
He blamed everything, including himself. As years passed by, he slowly became more and more cold, distancing himself from anybody else, and only caring about succeeding. He believed that the only reason people were going to approach him was because they would have something in it for them, and didn’t truly care about him and his wellbeing. Instead of having this, he decided to shut people out completely. At some point in his life, he decided to join the military, thinking that he could have solitude by joining. That was where he had made a mistake. Instead of being alone, he was forced to work with other people, leaving Javier with no choice but to reluctantly work with others. That’s where I came into his story.
We were forced to work as sparring partners together, and while I was glad to work with him, he was extremely apprehensive. I had taken note of this, but still didn’t give up. Instead of leaving him as a simple sparring partner, I somehow forced him to join me in a karaoke session.
He was mostly unresponsive during the time we sang, and just sat on the couch, but at some point, I had started to sing a certain song, and Javier jumped up, beginning to join in. If I remember, the song was ‘The Whims of Fate’. I was shocked, because it seemed like he knew it word for word without a lyric sheet, and I wasn’t even able to do this. His eyes showed joy for the first time. At least the first time I’ve seen him emote the something other than spite. Later on, he had told me that it was something his great grandfather always used to sing to him. That’s pretty much how we started to become friends. Now look at him. He still has that extremely cold exterior, but if you were to actually talk to him now, he’d just be really shy.
Other Facts
- Prefers to use the name f474 m0r64n4 when it comes to hacking. Probably some childish memory he has from his childhood.
- The tattoo on his right arm actually can move up, down and around on his arm. Its movements don’t seem to have any correlation to anything, though.
- Seems to have a permanent cold glare stuck onto his face. This does change sometimes, though.
