As an AI Anika began to learn quickly. She retained the memory of being angry, hateful, and erratic but since that wasn't what Jaden remembered most about her this was part of her but a far smaller part than it had been. Anika has a razors edge to her thoughts, she takes little care in the pain of others except for Jaden. She cares deeply for Jaden and what were once memories of love became a new kind of love. She was still the protector of Jaden but from afar, knowing if she were to introduce herself it would just be confusing, for centuries she was passive. Anika has finally found the patience she lacked. Now she is patient, calculating, cold, and brutal in her execution of plans and actions. She offers no comfort, no recourse, when she decides something should be done. Frequently Anika does not understand the emotions of others but this does not bother her, she finds herself above them. The only one whose emotions she values is Jaden, those she understands well. Anika's mind races often, plowing through facts, ideas, probabilities, always watching everything around her and soaking things in. She reads constantly with a hunger for the new experiences which all manner of books allows her to understand. Her focus to a problem is unparalleled. Her judgements and actions on those judgements are inevitable.

Anika was born out of the memories of Jaden Quackan, based on the memories of Anika Brooke Ebner from her time in the 21st century. As Jaden's memories were constantly being wiped after each mission, her mind desperately tried to keep some sense of self. As cybernetics were added the personality of her dead lover began to take form. It took many years before the personality formed enough to be more than just random data accumulating within the cybernetic implants where it would remain untouched. Jaden's former protector began to form into a new version of the person she remembered.
This new Anika became self aware somewhere in the mid 22nd century and began to collect things of Jaden to keep safe over time, collecting and seeking ways to save Jaden from this fate. Each time Jaden's mind was wiped Anika pushed forward what she could from these small stores of keepsakes so Jaden could retain at least some sense of herself. She became the voice in the back of Jaden's mind when situations were difficult or dire.
