Background
Built on an alternate version of Earth in the midst of a global war, TX88 is an Applied Atomics HS (Humanoid Support) model 238, IS (Infantry Suppression) variant. I was created in a in the east coast of the US in Applied Atomics factory number 5711. Constructed of the most durable and lightest alloys available with a miniaturized fusion reactor that makes up about one third of its total body weight.. It saw combat in western Europe where it distinguished itself from the other bots in its battalion by developing sapience. TX88’s human handler/commander lieutenant Adrian Hunt kept TX88’s sapience a secret for the duration of the war knowing that if it was discovered TX would have been immediately decommissioned. They developed a parent-child relationship as the war kept going. At the end of the war Adrian ordered TX88 to enter standby mode while it was in a field of flowers. He remained there undisturbed for 70 years.
TX88 was christened Tex on Nimbus station and was allowed to be part of STS. His body was overhauled to work with current technology but was unfortunately he destroyed his own body after being infected by the Malitae. After the station returned to Soteria Tex requisitioned two bodies for in case something like the Malitae infection happens to him again. In addition the different bodies Allow Tex to increase his combat effectiveness and both bodies will be linked to each other so that Tex controls both at the same time.
Leviathon
Designed by Tex as a way to have a stealthy and smaller alternative when the situation calls for it. This body is built to be as agile and light as possible basing the entire design as a scaled up full body cybernetic prosthetic with the computer core serving as the 'brain'. As such this body has no mounting points for weapons and the only built in weapon is a set of plasma blades at the arms. Additionally the body has thrusters for maneuverability in space. The armor is not very thick and only to protect from small arms fire. At 3 meters tall It is the size of his original body. The body weighs about two tons and is his lightest body ever.
Behemoth
Designed by Tex and Leo for improved anti infantry operations. The body is wider with more and better armor to better protect against incoming fire. Instead of shoulder mounted weapons he instead has his arms replaced with dual weapon mount points. This allows Tex to mix and match vehicle mounted weaponry. The new body is about 5 meters tall and 60 metric tons because of the armor. It uses a newer fusion core and a series of computer subcores for redundancy and resilience in combat. He can run about 45 miles per hour in this body.
Universe Timeline
2211 - Earth is left in a Precarious position after a satellite collision causes an ablation cascade. Within five years all satellites in orbit are destroyed and the resulting debris field prevents further space launches for at least another century. Up until now earth had been relying on asteroid mining to feed an intense need for resources. Now the nations of earth had to work with the scant resources left on earth. In a desperate bid to secure more resources the USSR invades Communist China.
China having lagged in isolation after the mid 21st century was not prepared for the onslaught of the modern soviet war machine. The war lasts for nine months and results in 32 million deaths. On the other side of the world the US begins a series of coup d'etats in Latin America with the intent of creating an American League led by the US. In reality this is a move to secure the resources of these lands while repressing its peoples. Other powers attempt to establish regional control from France in Europe to Ethiopia in Africa and Israel in the Middle East. A few weeks after the Sino-Soviet war Jerusalem is bombed by religious extremists of indeterminate faith. The situation in the ME becomes chaotic as a United States intervenes using the excuse of a holy war to recruit the more religious people of Latin America into its armies.
Europe also intervenes after several europeans are killed in by an US strike on an aid caravan. With its vast resources and manpower the US is able to pacify the ME in a year and broker a peace treaty with europe after another six months. Scared of America’s religious revival europe signs a defensive pact with the USSR.
In 2213 the inevitable happened the USSR invaded Japan on faulty orders. Despite the accidental nature of the incident neither side would concede to the other and a full war began. Despite only signing a defensive pact with the USSR Europe was invaded by both the US and the USSR. The war quickly reached global proportions with fighting on every continent including the US invasion and subsequent conquest of Cuba. In most of the fronts a stalemate was eventually reached by the year 2221 with the exception of europe where the US forces are able to slowly push back the Soviet forces until they reach the Soviet border. In a desperate bid to stop the slow US advance the Soviets attempt the impossible. At the start of 2222 the USSR launches an attack aimed at recapturing Cuba
The attack was not at all expected by the US and Cuba is recaptured in weeks. From there the Soviet forces attempt to land in three separate locations Florida, Texas, and Veracruz. Now under the same pressure as the USSR the US initiate peace talks with the Soviets hoping to carve the rest of the world among the two. For an unknown reason the negotiations breakdown. A few months after in 2223 both Superpowers resort to the use of nuclear weapons. Ten percent of the total population of the world is lost in the initial bombardment. After that an additional seventy percent of the world dies from a lack of basic infrastructure. The remaining survivors are then decimated by a biowarfare virus released into the wild by the aftermath. By the time TX spliced to ST the total human population of earth was only around 34 million.
