This races is a generic race used for a number of combinations of humans with other races, DNA types, or any other abnormal mix of human DNA with other DNA forms. However it is important to note that this does not include such things as half-Human, quarter-Human, or other naturally occurring genetic variations of the human genome. An abnormal human, or abhuman for short, is a term used to describe someone whose genome is predominantly humanoid (not necessarily homo-sapien) but where additional genetic trains are present which are not present / not active in standard humanoid DNA of that species.

Abnormalities

The abnormality comes in where there is no naturally occurring reason for the genetic material to have been introduced into active DNA sets. This precludes such things as, say, Caitian coupling with a Human and producing a half-human and half-caitain person who would naturally have some feline traits. This person born of those parents would not be considered to be an abhuman because their traits are found naturally and their genetic makeup has markers which point to the races of Caitain and Human.

Non-Visible

While the term is used most often to describe someone who has physical characteristics which mark them more obviously as some kind of abnormality, the term is not limited to this. Any form of genetic manipulation can be used on a humanoid to produce someone who is genetically engineered for specific traits (intelligence, strength, eyesight, etc..). These changes are not always visible to the outside world, however the term abnormal human or abhuman still applies.

Causes

There are a number of possible causes for a humanoid to be considered to be abhuman. The most directly reasonable is that of genetic manipulation, where a persons DNA Is spliced with other genetic material to produce specific traits. It does not matter of this is because of genetic manipulation before birth (engineered person) or after birth (genetic alteration of a naturally born person). Such experiments are illegal in almost the entirety of known space and often have severe side effects.

Other causes are unclear, recently there has been a rise in the presence of children and young adults who are tested to have abnormal DNA which does not fit with any known genetic markers for other races, raising the chilling possibility of experimentation of some kind by unknown persons on children. Since DNA is self-replicating and passes on from parents to children it is possible for experiments with animal DNA to have been going on for some time in secret, producing no visible changes in the original person - the person then has children and due to the natural process of homologous recombination, where new combinations of existing alleles are created.
