The Vorgath Class Heavy Cruiser is a formidable, 1,200-meter warship designed not for traditional governmental navies, but as the ultimate force-projection tool for affluent paramilitary organizations and rogue private military corporations. Primarily bankrolled and utilized by deeply entrenched corporate entities like Dark Triad Incorporated, these cruisers allow PMCs to provide full-scale warfare capabilities entirely outside established legal frameworks. The astronomical cost of constructing a vessel of this scale—complete with a dedicated matter/antimatter reactor, ablative hull armor, and a massive internal bay supporting over 120 auxiliary craft—dictates that only organizations with the shadowy financial backing of groups like 7 Years Enterprises can afford to field them. Boasting a devastating offensive profile of 16 heavy torpedo turrets and 8 dual plasma turrets, the Vorgath operates as a self-sustaining mobile fortress. It empowers mercenary fleets, corporate security arms, and highly funded vigilante cells to secure their assets and dominate contested territories without ever relying on Starfleet or other traditional galactic powers.

Design History
The origins of the Vorgath Class can be traced back to the darkest days of the Dominion War. Originally conceived in a classified Starfleet tactical think-tank as "Project Javelin," the vessel was intended to be a deep-space siege carrier capable of breaking heavily fortified Dominion defensive lines. However, the sheer resource cost of the 1,200-meter spaceframe—combined with its almost complete lack of scientific and diplomatic facilities—led Starfleet Command to abandon the project in favor of mass-producing smaller, more resource-efficient escort and frigate classes. The blueprints were subsequently classified and archived.
Following the end of the war, the galactic political landscape shifted, and the demand for privately contracted security forces skyrocketed. Through a series of illicit data breaches and corporate espionage, the discarded Project Javelin schematics fell into the hands of Dark Triad Incorporated. Seeing the potential for a supreme force-projection vessel, Dark Triad's engineers spent the next decade heavily modifying the original Starfleet design.
The primary hull was stripped of all non-essential exploration systems, converting the freed interior volume into cavernous magazine bays for heavy torpedoes and an expansive rapid-deployment launch network capable of fielding over a hundred auxiliary craft. The original warp core specifications were replaced with a highly durable, high-output matter/antimatter reactor specifically tuned to power the ship's ablative armor generators and heavy plasma turrets.
By the mid-2380s, the first true Vorgath Class Heavy Cruiser rolled out of a classified, off-the-books shipyard. Due to its exorbitant construction and maintenance costs, Dark Triad began selectively contracting and licensing the design to other elite, well-funded organizations, including 7 Years Enterprises. Today, the Vorgath Class stands as a testament to the militarization of private space—a devastating relic of the Dominion War reborn as the ultimate corporate enforcer.
