Personality: Melancholy when alone but stoic when around anyone else. She has much determination and resilience but when her internal strength fails she can take many weeks to recover. She shows a great deal of compassion to everyone but paradoxically is paranoid of everyone around her. She is very responsible and highly independent but suffers from being unsure of who she is a trait she's had since she was human.
Special Abilities
- Shapeshift - Capable of shifting between her base Lamia like appearance and a more discrete human appearance
- Enhanced Regeneration - Cannot die of old age and increased regenerative abilities. Can still die from large amounts of physical trauma.
- Enhanced Strength - Capable of lifting one ton above her head for longer than ten minutes, her muscles, bones and tendons are all proportionally enhanced to allow her feats of strength
- Electrical manipulation - Capable of manipulating electromagnetic forces. Currently limited to electrical shocks and electromagnetic fields of no stronger than 600 volts.
Itz she draws power from Vafilosna with the associated risks and changes that regularly drawing power from that plane of existence entails.

Background: Itzatl was the first born of a large family originally from Mexico. She had to take care of her siblings as her parents often worked late into the day and arrived home tired. At eighteen she got a job and contributed to the house. Her life would drastically change after the Incident.
Itzatl wasn't always her name and she wasn't always female, born the male firstborn, her original name was Alberto Barca. Though she harbored feelings that went against her assigned sex at birth she kept them hidden in fear.
However those same feelings ultimately saved her life. In 2018 she was caught in the epicenter of an Incident. Her mortal form was atomized as were many others including her family. However through sheer determination she pulled herself back together from the brink of death. But this was not without consequences as her subconscious influenced how she returned. When she came to. She was in a crater that used to be her neighborhood having been transformed into something resembling a Lamia of Greek mythology.
She collapsed shortly afterward and was recovered and placed in a containment chamber. She was placed under observation and determined not to be an immediate threat then questioned afterwards. Eventually she was offered patronage by the Custodians of the Blue Flames, a hero organization. Her talents would be put to their use in exchange for both her freedom and a new identity to live under.
It was after agreeing to the terms that she chose her new name and started to live her new life as a hero aspirant. Initially it was rough, she had to learn the new expectations people had of her both for being a hero aspirant and a woman. None of this was helped by the fact that between the time she was captured and the time she was determined to not be an immediate threat twenty years had passed. Society had started adapting to the conditions of the new normal, hence the hero organizations. Still she tried her best to adapt to her new world.
She was pushed out to the public and given a new name for the public, Spark. She was also set up as a barista for cover, though her housing was covered by the Custodians. Her first years were a bit rough but she started making a name for herself. Enough for her to be targeted by criminal organizations. Using the living weapon Red Terror, they tried to have her killed or incapacitated. However Red and Spark were too evenly matched and unable to permanently finish each other off.
They continued to clash like this all the while both were unaware that the other was their coworker at the coffee shop they both worked at.
