Norman was trained by NASA to pilot a space shuttle knowing this he's able to fly any other ship as long as nothing is too complicated for him to handle. Knowing how to use guns he was somewhat taught by his father and NASA due to other countries being aggressive to U.S presence. Due this he can handle multiple guns from training alone.
Special Equipment
Norman has his space suit with a rebreather that allows 72 hours worth of breathable air in the vacuum of space. He has a cyber arm that has a watch to tell the time and how much oxygen he has left. His cyber eye just gives him sight.

Background
Norman always had a dream to be a astronaut but he couldn't due to having a few disabilities. Like blind in his left eye, confined to a wheelchair and having his right arm a deformity. But his parents still loved him and would do anything even make him normal with a few cybernetics. By the time he was eighteen he went through three surgeries to replace his left eye, his right arm and implant a cybernetic spine to allow him to walk.after waking up he was able to be normal again. Even pursue his dream of being a astronaut after he graduated high school he worked hard and within a few years or more he achieved his dream to be astronaut becoming part of the Apollo 20 crew they were tasked with beating the chinese to mars. It was a big race but something happened and the Nemesis MKIV shuttle was sucked into a splice as control didn't take notice but deemed it a failed mission. Norman survived but his crew weren't so lucky.
