| Sal was recruited into [[:Category:Section 31|Section 31]] right after graduating from [[:Category:Starfleet|Starfleet]] Academy where he showed an extraordinary aptitude for covert operations. Graduating at the top of his class in areas of combat and stealth, [[Section 31]] stationed him at various locations throughout the Federation where he had a stellar career rising to the rank of Lt. Commander. Eventually he was added to the team of then [[Thomas, Lance|Captain Lance Thomas]]. He eventually left the service of [[Section 31]] shortly after newly promoted Admiral Thomas in early 2360 assisting to facilitate the acquisition of the [[USS Rising Sun (NCC-465)|USS Rising Sun]].
