A Biosuit is a form of an EVA or pressure suit designed for extended use in low pressure or hard vacuum environments.

Operation

Instead of using air pressure inside a suit like a traditional EVA or pressure suit which causes difficulties in mobility, the suit uses mechanical pressure over most of the body to retain the bodies shape, size, and flexibility. The only areas of gaseous pressure are the helmet, boots, and gloves, where the latter two use a hybrid between gaseous pressure and mechanical pressure to reinforce the smaller joints such as fingers and toes but also retain mobility.

Construction

The suits must be molded to the body, where as once each suit needed to be tailored, modern technology allows a suit to be able to mold itself to the body with nano-tube fibers which are used to form the structure suspended in a polymer substance that reacts to electric current to mold itself to the wearer, once the current sets the suits shape & size it stabilizes that way until a current is then later applied to loosen the suit for removal.

The nano-tube structure is formed of braided strands of carbon nano-tubules along muscular stress lines where the body does not naturally flex. The strands can be manipulated by electrical current to dynamically adjust the mechanical pressure against the body always maintaining a pressure of 40-45 kPa over the body.

Oxygen supply or simply rebreathing systems can be used by the wearer depending on the environment. Additional armor or shielding can also be used to suit a multitude of dangerous environments at various pressure and temperature levels.
