Special Abilities

• Medical nanites: Nanites in his bloodstream allow him to heal his organic components three times as fast as a normal human. The nanites repair his inorganic components at roughly the same rate as a normal human heals wounds to the skeletal system. He is capable of regenerating limbs and organs though the regeneration process has him eating four times the normal amount and for inorganic components he needs to ingest inorganic matter.
• Subdermal plating: In his subdermal layer he has a flexible polymer mesh that allows him to resist small arms fire and heat up to 250 Celsius
• Nanofibers: Has nanofibers to replace his tendons and muscles. They also enhance his strength to above average and speed to vastly above average. He can run at 50 MPH for hours granted that he has enough food for all that time. Additionally he can reach a maximum of 80 MPH when running and 150 MPH using his 'wings' but he can only maintain that velocity for five minutes. He needs to eat twice as much as someone for his age and weight in order to maintain his energy.
• Polymer skeleton: His skeletal system is infused with a ultra dense polymer in key locations allowing his bones to remain at slightly the same weight but with vastly greater strength.
• Neural rewiring: His brain and neural pathways have been altered to allow him to use his new abilities as if he was born with them. In addition it allows him to increase the speed at which his neurons carry electrical signals so he is able to keep his reflexes while he is running. The increased neural speed only allows him to react at the max speed he can run, any faster and his response time lengthens.
• Talks to Machines: Can communicate seemingly telepathically with any intelligent machine within long range. In reality he his brain has a bio-mechanical pituitary gland that is able to wirelessly connect to and communicate with computers and computer systems.
• Flight: The wings on his back are the holographic projections of a anti gravity device installed on his spinal column. The device also allows him to propel himself in any direction he wants to whether he is in the air or not. He is only able to fly for about ten minutes before the device needs a cooldown that lasts an hour.

Background

Faolux was born on a caravan crossing the desert of Matheunis. He was raised to be a caravan guard by his father. He had an inborn ability to talk to machines and during the time he had off he would fix and talk to various machines they traded. While they were traveling at the edge of the beyond he and the caravan was caught in a sand storm that later gave way to iron wind. To escape the mutation that the iron winds cause they took refuge in a nearby cave. The cave was actually a numenera that swallowed up Faolux. While it had Faolux it started to alter him with advanced constructs. Once he was spat back out the sand storm had ended. He was confused and dazed as well as his family shocked by how the numenera changed him. They still accepted him after the transformation and with his new look he deterred some raiders and bandits from attacking. As he traveled with the caravan he made picked up a cypher, something that when added to his rapier converted it into a sword that uses local ionized gas to cut instead of an edge. A few months later he had a antigravity and propulsion device installed on his back directly into his spinal column. He spent many years training with it but he did not get the hang of it completely.
