This page took a lot of work to put together. There is no singular definitive source for planetary class information and some of the information canonical to Star Trek was contradictory, particularly within Star Trek the Original Series (TOS). As such this data has been pulled from multiple sources. The more reliable / stable source has been the Star Trek Theurgy site. Much of this data is derived from another site Star Trek the Final Frontier by Chris Adamek, which in turn is based on a 2002 printing of Star Trek: Star Charts. Although that source seems to have fallen into some amount of disrepair with missing images and some of the data missing as well. Originally I was pulling planetary class data from this latter web site, but that site may no longer be maintained. Finally, I also pulled data from a third web site on Blogger, Immaterial.

All three sides provided excellent data to complete this list in conjunction with Memory Alpha and Memory Beta. In some cases where this information did not jive well with other information, I edited descriptions and added my own take on things.

Predominantly, I wanted to give credit where credit is due, this page was difficult to construct and would not be possible without the work of others. I was very happy to pull data off of one of the above sites but the Star Trek the Final Frontier site having broken image links and a strange banner about generating a web preview has prompted me to collect all the data I can and store it on my own Wiki.
