Server Ad Descriptions: Difference between revisions

For anyone wanting to place an ad for our server somewhere, here are some useful descriptions at various lengths.

New

The Molten Aether server is more than just role play, it is a supportive community for creative writing. We are not simple a Discord server, we have a full forum for long-form and long-term RP sessions or for when players cannot be on at the same time, there is also a wiki where we store all of our game information (no more scrolling through pinned posts or searching for a character bio that was posted 2 years ago). Our Wordpress site kept up to date by the admin so no matter how often you can play, you can stay up to date on the major plot elements going on and changes to the server. We post writing prompts to encourage creative writing as well as assist with ways to role play, create characters, and even generate new plots. We have three settings; science fiction, modern horror, and medieval fantasy. Each setting keeps up with its own set of stories both between characters and over the setting itself. We have multiple plot arcs that players are encouraged to contribute to both in the form of active role playing as well as bouncing ideas back and forth. Our only character requirement is that it be an original character. Come and join our active, supportive, and player-oriented server.

Long

We are an FFRP (Free Form Role Play) server which runs 3 different settings, a Science Fiction, a Modern Horror / Fantasy, and a Medieval Fantasy. Each setting has its own feel but they are all interconnected with the idea that the server has something for everyone. We also have web services such as a forum and a wiki to support game play (no more searching for pinned posted when you want to look something up). Our science fiction area is loosely based on Star Trek with other areas of inspiration, though intended to be a much darker place than traditional Trek is. For modern fantasy we took inspiration from World of Darkness, which is of course sufficiently dark already. Finally our fantasy setting is loosely based on a a d20 / Dungeons and Dragons kind of vibe in a custom world. Our main goal is to write and produce stories that people enjoy both watching unfold in role play and participate in, toward that end we intend to be a safe place for nearly any ideas that a person wants to put forth.
