Template:NX Class She was a research and exploration vessel converted from a combat cruiser used during the Earth-Romulan war. One of the first ships to show the new standard NCC registry prefix signifying the bugs and other issues had been worked out of the design and ready for standard use after the creation of the United Federation of Planets.
