Amos Was created by an alchemist named Adrian Hunt dabbling in creating artificial servants for his laboratory. His efforts garnered limited success but it was enough to put him on the radar of many occult organizations. Amos 88 was, as implied, the eighty eighth such experiment and the first one to have true sentience. Amos helped his creator in trying to recreate the experiment or even to copy the powers he had with no success. Hunt eventually abandoned Amos never to be seen again. Amos stayed in the makeshift laboratory where he was created trying fruitlessly to recreate what had given him sentience in the hopes that his creator would return happy.
