The Thex system is a unique binary star system. Thex-Alpha is a type F6V yellow-white main sequence star. It is roughly the 1.7 times the mass Earth's sun with a temperature of 6400 K. It is over 2.5 times as bright as Earth's sun. Thex-Beta is a Type M8V red dwarf star orbiting the main star at a distance of 54.58 AU. Beta is much smaller and cooler, 2100 K and far dimmer than its companion star.

Location
77 Lightyears from the Schatten Star System in the Sigma Tamelos Sector

Thex Prime

Class
A
Distance
0.33 AU
Period
51.1 Days
Radius
6545.58 km
Gravity
1.07 G

This is a hot and rocky world, with no atmosphere at all, incapable of supporting life. It is about the same size as Earth and contains various unremarkable ores, mostly silica and basalt.

Thex 2

Class
A
Distance
0.64 AU
Period
233.6 Days
Radius
4665.17 km
Gravity
0.85 G

This is a hot and rocky world, with no atmosphere at all, incapable of supporting life. Mostly composed is silica and basalt, there are some small veins of tungsten deep within the planet.

Thex 3

Class
O
Distance
1.07 AU
Period
310 Days
Radius
8913.65 km
Gravity
1.31 G

The surface is approximately 82% liquid water with virtually no ice caps at the poles, it has a thick atmosphere and highly dynamic weather patterns. It is also heavily tilted on its axis making for more extreme seasons. There is no sentient life indigenous to this world currently living. Evidence suggests that at one point there were, though the planet has been charted from orbit, it has not been explored. Ruins of an ancient civilization indicate an advanced race once inhabited this world. Advanced alien technology / artifacts may be on this world.

Thex 4

Class
M
Distance
1.59 AU
Period
445.45 Days
Radius
7399.79 km
Gravity
1.19 G

The surface temperature of this world runs somewhat colder than most M Class worlds. The planet has large polar ice caps and much smaller oceans the an average, though is still 77% water. Evidence suggests there was once a heavily industrialized society on this world some 10,000 or so years ago. Vegetation has almost entirely reclaimed the surface, the atmosphere is slightly corrosive and care should be taken with prolonged exposure. The planet is very active tectonically, several chains of volcanos are still active and earthquakes are more common than average. Orbital scans reveal that a crashed alien ship rests in the northern polar region buried beneath the ice.

Eternis Terminal

Eternis Terminal holds the primary Hermod Gate for the system and is located on the western equatorial region of one of the main continents, near the shore.

Thex Gate

The Hermod Supergate for the Thex system is in a fixed orbit near Thex 4, approximately 200,000 km away from the planet.

Thex 5

Class
K
Distance
2.96 AU
Period
1419.85 Days
Radius
7331.6 km
Gravity
1.22 G

This world has a relatively thin atmosphere of oxygen, nitrogen, and argon. The planet itself is composed mostly of silicone, iron, and aluminum as well as some other more exotic ores in small quantities. It does have small amounts of liquid water on the planet, within these small single-celled organisms cling to life. The surface if marred with numerous craters and is rather geologically inactive.

Thex 6

Class
K
Distance
5.57 AU
Period
10 Years
Radius
7915.6 km
Gravity 1.25 G

This world has a thick atmosphere mostly composed of carbon, nitrogen, argon, and trace amounts of oxygen. Composed mostly of iron, silicon, and lead with gold and magnesium also in abundance. The world is geologically very active which keeps the surface temperature higher than one would expect. The constant geological instability causes extreme ionization in the atmosphere, which is especially turbulent.

Asteroid Belt

A thick asteroid belt between the 6th and 7th worlds indicates that potentially a planet once formed here, but is now a dense belt of rocks. Most asteroids are made up of nick, iron, tungsten, silver, and gold.

Thex 7

Class
P
Distance
10.25 AU
Period
25 Years
Radius
16086.3 km
Gravity
0.93 G

This world is entirely frozen, it has a thick atmosphere of mostly Nitrogen and Oxygen with trace amounts of other gasses. The surface has no life at all to speak of and permafrost encompasses the entire planet. It has 2 small moons, likely asteroids caught in its gravitational pull.
