Joss is a loyal man who tries to be nice to everyone he meets, especially since he is in a service position making house calls to repair broken technology. A bit of an introvert, he doesn't socialize much outside of his circle of friends. He has a bit of a temper and at times tries to outdo others when challenged, often people call him rude when he gets his back up. Tending toward self-pity and low self esteem during hard times, he relies on his friends to help him keep things in perspective, not doing very well on his own. His incredibly intelligent and an abstract thinker though he's still too concrete to truly understand the emotions of people around him and can often be inconsiderate. He tries to live life proactively, preferring to plan things out rather than let things ride.

Joshua Martinez is a 34-year-old IT technician who enjoys travelling, worship and donating blood. He is kind and reliable, but can also be very pessimistic and a bit untidy. His best friend is a coworker named Gregory Mendoza. They have a very fiery friendship. He also hangs around with Bronte Lopez and Leanne Reed. They enjoy walking through downtown on busy nights, people watching and talking about the kind of lives they might have had. He is an American and a staunch Christian who defines himself as gay. He finished school and left academia, even though he once had aspirations to become a teacher. Joshua is currently single, still reeling from the cold breakup he suffered only a few months ago. He grew up in an upper class neighborhood. His parents separated when he was small, but remained friends and provided a happy, stable home.
