Ion Drive / Warp Drive

The Pyro-GX is a civilian designed fighter prototype not in wide use by any agency.

Propulsion

A modified Warp Drive is used for propulsion routing ion flow from the warp core into twin ion thrusters. The ship's warp drive is modified to accelerate the ship to sub-light speeds and bed space around the ship for superior maneuverability. The ion drive system is used in atmosphere or after launch, where the vessel must accelerate to a speed which the warp drive can take over.

Offensive Systems

  • 4 Externally mounted Quantum Torpedoes
  • 4 Pulse Phaser Emitters

Defensive Systems

  • Sensor disruption & decoy drones (10)
  • Ablative hull armor
  • Deflector shields
