Since he was marked for termination a researcher decided to use him to see if his hypothesis on psionics was correct. After major brain surgery and electrotherapy success was achieved. Aldous was granted psionic powers. The researcher continued studying him for many years teaching the reptile to use his powers. After 15 years the researcher moves onto human subjects but Aldous was put in a state of suspended animation in order to preserve him as a reference.
