Svyo is an Orange-Red class M3V main sequence star, approximately 0.2 solar masses with a radius 40% of Sol. The star is approximately 87 lightyears from the Schatten Star System, toward the galactic core. The system has a habitable zone approximately 0.07 AU to 0.88 AU from the star. The system is under the jurisdiction of the Serenity Concord, they operate the sole space station in the system. There are 3 planets in the system and one asteroid belt.

Location
Adara Sector
2.8 ly from the Vlilt Star System

Jump Gate

A Jump Gate has been placed in orbit around Noup'razzy, just outside the ring of asteroids.

Asteroid Belt

A thick field of asteroids ranging in size from a ping pong ball to that of a large space craft circle the star at approximately 0.1-0.4 AU from Svyo. It is likely that two planets collided in the distant past and broke apart, or were torn apart by tidal forces. These objects generally stay in their region, but sometimes an asteroids escapes due to gravitational forces from surrounding objects and planets, where such an object is sling-shot either toward Svyo or out of the system.

Noup'razzy

A Class O world, 0.6 AU from Svyo. Although. most Class O worlds are tropical, Noup'razzy is not, though it once may have been. This particular world has water covering 87% of its surface and extensive polar ice caps which cover 47% of the surface. The warmest region of the planet is at the equator where mean temperatures vary from 18 to 25 C depending on the time of year. The planet contains extensive ocean life in a very diverse population of under-sea fauna. Much of the under-sea life has evolved bioluminescent qualities, including a rare breed of algae which dominates much of the colder regions of the ocean under the ice. There are over 72 types of Cetacea, many of which are similar to Narwhals on Earth using bony protrusions to break through the ice. Thermal vents at the ocean floor are plentiful giving rise to a number of animal and plant species which thrive in the super-high pressure / temperature environments at the ocean floor.

This world has a ring of small asteroids around it, which may have once been a moon. The largest concentration of these objects are in a roughly spheroid general shape.

Research Outpost

A small maritime research outpost has been established near the equator called Luminosity Outpost. They are researching the diverse array of bioluminescent algae and bacterium which have evolved on this planet. The outpost was established in 2383 as part of the Applied Sciences Division of Solas Tempus's Gold Team.

Maak Station

Orbiting Noup'razzy is the space station called Maak Station or more commonly The Maak, a Class G Space Station.

Streayn

A Class P planet, approximately 0.9 AU from the sun in an elongated orbit. The world is tidally locked with Svyo, meaning the same side is always facing the star and the same side is always in the dark. On the dark side of the world surface temperatures rarely go above -180 C while the light side is much warmer at -105 C. These constant light/dark sides create intense weather with severe ice storms of frozen water and liquid argon.

Dyairn

A typical Class I world, approximately 4.6 AU from Svyo. Thick gaseous atmosphere of helium and hydrogen with trace amounts of argon, oxygen, and neon. Like most worlds of this type it has a strong magnetic field which is sharply inclined compared to its axis of rotation. The surface is small and rocky with layers of liquid ammonia, methane, and frozen water.

Dyairn has a single tidally locked moon called Dyairra, approximately twice the size of Earth's moon. This satellite sports a very thin oxygen-argon atmosphere, the atmosphere is too thin to support even basic single celled life.
