	Xan’Tanaas is a man who reveals very little about his backstory. However, what IS known about his backstory, which has been revealed about other Ethereals, is as follows. While people like Xan’Tanaas appear to be a mummy-looking humanoid, the Ethereals were not always like that. They once had a physical form, though its exact shape is not known, as the Ethereals hide it from everyone but themselves. They do the same to the name of their old race’s name. The Ethereals lived in harmony with each other on their home planet, K’aresh. They were a race of intelligent people, able to figure out how to take the arcane energies of their home magic and mix it with the technology they had created. This technique is what most people would call technomancy, though what the Ethereals called it is unknown.Through this technique of theirs, which they had made their own variation of, the Ethereals thrived, traded amongst each other, and above all else, lived in harmony with each other. However, this peace was destined to be short-lived, as was the once possible humanoid inhabitants of K’aresh destined to become Ethereals. One day, K’aresh was attacked by a creature of [[the Void]]. The Void is a plane of existence where the dark beings known as Voidwalkers reside and grow their power. One of the beings there was a Void Lord called Dimensius, the All-Devouring. Void Lords are the second strongest beings in the void, second only to Void Gods. Dimensius had attacked K’aresh to do what his name suggests, absorb its energies to become more powerful himself. He was able to open countless portals to the void and the Twisting Nether, another plane of existence where demons reside. While most of the planet was being destroyed and had its energies devoured by the Void and Twisting Nether, one race used their advanced technology and magic to create barrier domes to defend themselves from the forces. While the barriers DID protect them from the energies of the Void, the arcane energies of the Twisting Nether had forced their way through the barriers. As a result of this, every living creature inside of the barriers were disintegrated. Xan’Tanaas was one of these people who died and had their physical form destroyed. However, all was not lost, as the arcane energies that forced their way through the barriers, had fused with the souls of those who have died. This turned the people who died in the barriers into beings of pure energy, which they would later call by Ethereals. However, they barely clung onto existence, so as a final, rushed act of safety, the now energy beings Ethereals used their advanced technology and magic to create enchanted bandages. They were able to wrap themselves in these bandages, giving them a physical form once more. Xan’Tanaas, without, question, followed this procedure and was given a new form once more, albeit a mummy-like style. Thanks to their new form, the Ethereals had a much higher intelligence and affinity for magic. And thanks to this, they were able to hold off against Dimensius’s forces. However, they were only able to do this for so long, as Dimensius was able to open even more portals to the Void and Twisting Nether, forcing the Ethereals to retreat. They were left no choice but to leave K’aresh and let Dimensius claim it. And in that event, Xan’Tanaas had lost his best friend and only brother. *Void Storage Technomancy: Able to take the arcane energies of any item and create a small pocket-dimension for it, allowing that item to be stored in what, the Ethereals call, Void Storage. Any item can be stored in Void Storage and can be just as easily taken out of Void Storage. Void storage can hold up to an unlimited amount of items, but Xan’Tanaas limits the storage number for his customers to keep business stable (2A, from observing and mimicking how other Ethereals use Technomancy)

*Transmogrification: Xan’Tanaas is able to change the appearance of anything while that item which had its appearance change keeps its same physical properties. For example, Xan’Tanaas is able to make a full-set of armor on a knight, appear as a regular person’s clothing, while those seemingly regular clothes contain all of the physical properties as the armor. This can be done to anything, though whatever is transmogrified must be of the same shape and size of the object (for example a bar of gold can look like bread but the bar of gold can’t be transmogrified into a full skirt). Any item being transmogrified cannot turn invisible as its transmogrification (2A, from self-teachings of the art on his home planet and some help from his organization)

*Body compression: As a being made up of pure energy, Xan’Tanaas is able to compress his body into any shape he likes, whether that can be as tall as a giant or as tiny as a wisp. Though, whichever form he takes, he can easily be spread out across the energy around him and die, much like a being of electricity in an ocean. In order to survive any form, he must have some sort of supporting structure to permanently maintain his form. However, the smaller he becomes, the more condensed his energy form becomes. And as such he is able to last longer without a supporting structure (2A, from naturally being an Ethereal)
