== History ==
Vera was raised on Europa with loving parents who were both scientists for the [[United Federation of Planets]]. They studied plant biology and although they lived in a domed structure, their space was alive with all manner of planets. For a long while Vera wanted to follow in her parents footsteps. As she got older, however, she wanted more out of life and initially signed on to a cargo vessel so she could see different parts of the galaxy. She found a sort of wanderlust there and didn't want to go back home. As a young woman of 21 years, she found herself on the wrong side of a boarder when the Dominion War broke out. [[Solas Tempus]] rescued her and several others who got stranded behind enemy lines when the Cardassian Empire fell and the Dominion took over. When the ship was attacked, several of her crew was killed. Vera found herself at the helm of the ship trying to help save their lives! When it was all over, Vera was offered a commission in Solas Tempus and accepted it.
