The nanomaterial technology is supposed to form into a "stable" form -- that is it's supposed to form into a shape that could actually exist in the real world. Thus making it look like armor could look makes sense. Removed the stuff about the advanced holographic stuff, that should be accomplished by another device, didn't like how that turned out anyway. I think this is some of the better armor renders I've seen. It has a lot of the stylistic qualities of the MCU depictions of the Iron Man armor without being a clone of the Iron Man armor and with enough other elements to really be its own beast.
