			The Operative used her remaining code word to be extracted and returned to CIA HQ in May of 2015. It seems she suffered a severe psychotic break for unknown reasons, it is probable that after being exposed to some intense psionic field, the Operative found herself unable to function and this caused something similar to a fugue state and was unable to remember who she was, where she was supposed to be. Marianne ended up homeless in central Los Angeles for many years.

			It is unknown what precipitated the return of her memories enough to call in to the CIA for extraction, medical staff theorize that the memories might have been triggered by some kind of sensory association within the city. She does clearly remember first wanting to contact the CIA after a new report about a bombing having happened in Bagdad. After that she became slowly more obsessed with contacting the CIA. Once she finally did, she blurted out the code word over the phone without knowing why. Within 24 hours she was extracted from LA and received intensive medical treatment.

			As of November of 2016 she was returned to active duty.
