			Born in the 5th century C.E. in what would someday become Scottland he was born to be a farmer, until one day the most beautiful woman he'd ever seen entered the village. She was tall and spectacular in all things. He had gotten himself out of the house to meet his young betrothed in woods by some standing stones. It was a place of power, for which many feared but he did not. She never showed, so in the middle of the night he made his way back to the village, and that is when he came across ''her''. She stood before him and the scent of blood filed the air, he realized then suddenly why his betrothed didn't come for him that night, she was dead. He recognized the blood stained necklace he'd made himself from the local stones around this woman's neck. He attacked, and was swiftly put in his place, she said he had spirit and turned him that night. Holding him in the woods until he woke, and in his first frenzied feeding, he fed on those in the village with her - deep within him is buried the guilt of that night.

			While he maker was killed many centuries ago, the guilt and hate in his heart have not quieted. Hate for her, guilt for himself. He will never go back to the powerless child again, and no one will ever take anything away from him ever again. Throughout the centuries he has lived many lifetimes, some he tried to be good and have some semblance of family and friends. When England was unifying he fought for it and gained power and prestige in doing so. Using his new found power he amassed wealth, quietly in the background. Founded companies, schools, and libraries throughout Europe. Lifetime after lifetime he worked within this framework that he had built, each time leaving some bit of it behind to history. Eventually, he moved to the new world, governing over a few colonies in the early days under numerous aliases.

Jimmy is sort of a lost soul in a way. He is a sincere man who has little deception in him and while he's smart he often finds himself in situations which normal people would ask, "How did you manage to get yourself into that?" Most of the time he does get out of things OK but the strange and unusual are attracted to him in some way that he can never quite explain. For him, it is normal, and thus strange situations are normal to him as well. He tends to wander, not staying in any area longer than he has to doing odd jobs - mostly construction or the like - to get enough money to head to the next place.
