Gil is adventurous and very self-confident with a mature way about him, as if he's been around for longer than his years. He is blunt and can be rather controlling, especially when in a position of authority. His bluntness gets in his way, even when in a formal situation requiring care he tends to be tactless. Deep inside he has a big heart and can be quite loving, though his arrogance and bluntness get in the way. In his sureness that he is usually correct often come off poorly and belittling to more sensitive people under his leadership. Through all this he is non-judgmental a juxtaposition with how arrogant he can be. Rules are a comfort to him and he lives a rather by-the-book life, often the rules give him clues into how to be less tactless. His inability to see what to say when without just being direct bothers him and he fights against it.

Professionally, he expects excellence from those under him. He can be difficult to work under at times but while some do poorly under his command others excel. Many of his colleagues have said he is a bit of an acquired taste, though no one doubts his intentions or loyalty to those under him.

== History ==
Gil was one of the early AI prototypes for the [[MSAI]] program. Primarily made to be a training tool with simulated experiences, his program was later adapted and restructured to put his experiences in real context of what they were and where he came from. The process was extensive, but eventually Gil's consciousness was properly allowed to expand and develop into a full featured AI.
