He had many arguments with his superiors. He never wanted to hurt things but to be a spiritual guide to others. Unfortunately for him No matter what points he made they did not let him leave. At his 21st birthday he became a sanctioned hunter for the Vatican and was sent out on missions. Emile saw the supernatural world for what it was, a mess of bureaucracy. Far from actually protecting people they mostly consulted with local governments and supernatural organizations to deal with most threats. Only sometimes were they given the kill order. He was at wits end by his thirties and eventually he reached his breaking point with the San Juan Ixhuatepec Incident. The hunters were brought in to deal with a [[demon]] but red tape and ineffectual leadership lead to the deaths of 500 people and injuries of 2000 others. The battle was covered up as a series of gas line explosions but to Emile the damage had been done. He deserted the organization and was consequently excommunicated from the church. On his own he hid from the authorities and administered his own justice to supernaturals that hurt humanity and preached the word of god.
